A big thank-you to all of you who came to the lantern walk on November 2nd, 2025. We had a great time and were thrilled with how it turned out.

At least two dozen people were involved in making the walk happen this year - plus all of our performers. Please give a round of applause to these folks who gave us their time, skills, and creativity! No, really, clap your hands, even as you sit there on your couch or in front of your computer. And if you are interested in helping with next year's walk write to us at puppet_hour@yahoo.com and we'll add you to our mailing list.

Our sympathies to those of you who had to wait a long time to enter the woods. You may have noticed that a *lot* of people came to the walk this year. We try to let people come into the woods as quickly as possible, but we want to avoid backups in the woods, so it's a balancing act. We hope our musicians and performers kept you entertained while you waited.

If you have photos or videos from the walk we would love to have you send them to us (or send links where we can download them) at puppet_hour@yahoo.com. We like to document each year's walk, but we're pretty busy and usually don't take a lot of pictures ourselves.

 

And thank you to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe for the walk. We exceeded our goal and were able to cover all of our expenses. We are going to use the surplus to buy some equipment that will make the walk easier to put on next year, like rechargeable battery packs and a sturdy cart for bringing things into the woods and back out after the walk.

 

And remember, it is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness. Now get out there and light some candles!
